Focused on Exteriors Ever Since
David Rennison became a residential home builder in 2003. As his expertise grew, so did his passion, which led him to enter the market with his own construction business. Rennison Repairs and Remodeling was born in 2007, over time narrowing their specialty to building service options with a focus on roofing, windows, siding and doors. This is because they understand how valuable it is to be not only educated and professional, but also masters of their craft. Crews are vetted and trained by the manufacturer, and all of their work is protected by warranties. With four systems honed to perfection, every project is managed smoothly and exactly, so in 2015, Rennison Roofing and Exteriors as you know it came into existence.
David expanded his team over time to better suit the needs of his Columbia, Irmo and Midlands customer base. His team is dedicated to keeping their focus community-oriented, holding compassion for their friends and neighbors throughout the midlands.
David expanded further in 2017, securing his commercial roofing license so that he can serve the small businesses that make up the lifeblood of the South Carolina economy.

David founded the company over 20 years ago and still checks job sites himself. Annette runs the office side: she’s one of the people who answers your calls, and she’s the one who sends your invoice and emails your warranty packet.

Project Manager / Office & Field Support
Lloyd manages siding, window, and door projects from the first visit through the final walk-around. Emily supports the work from the office and in the field.

Megan is usually one of the first voices you’ll hear. She figures out what’s going on and routes your project to the right project manager.

Britton is a project manager. He also runs the site checks between visits: materials delivered, crew working, conditions right.

One Project Manager Owns Your Job
Every project gets a designated project manager, and that assignment doesn’t change. Your project manager covers the scope with the crew before work starts, checks the work while it runs, and does the final inspection before we call the job done. If they’re across town when your job needs eyes or materials, another team member steps in so the work doesn’t sit, but the same project manager stays responsible for your project, and they’re the one who closes it out.
The crews doing the work are hand-selected and manufacturer-trained, and we drop crews that get careless with a homeowner’s property. The judgment call on who touches your house was made before you ever called.
The closeout walk covers more than the install. We check the finished work against the manufacturer’s specs, make sure the cleanup’s done right, and put back anything the crew moved off a porch or deck. The job isn’t closed until all of that is completed correctly. Your project manager walks the finished job and encourages you to come along so you can see it’s right before we close it out. The inspection happens either way, but we’d rather you see it with us.
Credentials You Can Check
Every one of these is verifiable, and we’d rather you check than take our word for it.
South Carolina License #120891. It’s a public record on South Carolina LLR, and checking it takes about a minute. If your HOA needs our license or certificate of insurance for an approval, ask, and we’ll send it.
GAF Master Elite, residential roofing. GAF requires Master Elite contractors to carry proper licensing and insurance and to re-earn the designation every year through training credits. The payoff for you sits in the warranty section below: Master Elite standing is what lets us offer GAF’s Silver and Golden Pledge packages, where GAF itself backs the workmanship coverage on your roof.
James Hardie Elite Preferred, fiber cement siding. Hardie’s program requires product-specific installation training, insurance, and ongoing, documented Hardie project experience. In practice, it means Hardie’s own trainers have worked with our crews, in our office and on our job sites, and the company keeps checking that we still know the product.
CertainTeed Master Craftsman Select, vinyl siding. Four of us hold it: David, Lloyd, Britton, and Clancey. CertainTeed trained and certified us on the exact product going on your wall, so you can rest assured that a Rennison vinyl job goes on the way the manufacturer designed it.
Fortified Roofing Contractor, storm-rated roofing. We build roofs to the Fortified standard for homeowners who want one engineered to stand up to the storms the Midlands knows so well. It’s a premium build, and 17 South Carolina insurance companies have pledged discounts for homes with a Fortified roof. The amount varies by carrier, so ask yours before you count on it.
Warranties
What We Put in Writing
Every full replacement we install (roof, siding, windows, or doors) carries a written workmanship warranty. Here’s how a claim works: you call the same number you used to book the job. A project manager comes out to determine whether the problem is with the product or the installation. If it’s our workmanship, we bring the crew and the materials back and fix it at no cost to you. If it’s the product, we contact the manufacturer, open the claim, and send them the documentation. The manufacturer makes the final call on its own coverage, but you won’t be the one chasing them.
Residential GAF Shingle Roofs
Silver Pledge covers shingles against manufacturing defects for 50 years with 10 years of workmanship coverage. Golden Pledge carries the same 50-year defect term with 25 years of workmanship coverage. That workmanship coverage is backed by GAF, and it’s a real warranty: GAF pays for the repair even when the installation was the problem. Your written proposal names which package applies, and once the roof’s paid in full, Megan or Annette emails your warranty packet, usually within about 24 hours.

Commercial Roofing
Commercial GAF shingle systems carry 40 years of manufacturer coverage, with the same 10-year Silver or 25-year Golden workmanship terms. Low-slope TPO systems carry a 15-year materials warranty and our five-year workmanship warranty.

Our five-year workmanship warranty plus James Hardie’s 30-year warranty against material defects.
Replacement Windows
Our five-year workmanship warranty on every full replacement. The product warranty depends on the brand and line you choose, and we email you your registration and transfer information after the job wraps up.
Vinyl Siding
Our five-year workmanship warranty plus CertainTeed’s lifetime product warranty against manufacturer defects. The manufacturer’s terms, including what’s not covered, come with your project documents.
Exterior Doors
Our five-year workmanship warranty. ProVia’s coverage varies by door series, finish, glass, and components, so the exact manufacturer terms depend on which door you pick.
Repairs
Repairs don’t carry a warranty, on purpose. A repair ties into a roof or wall nobody’s opened up end to end, and we won’t put a promise in writing about conditions no one has seen. What you get instead is a written quote with the work laid out step by step before anything starts, and if we uncover hidden damage once the work’s underway, you’ll see it and approve any added work before we go further.
